It's Philipp von Hesse and Georg zu Stettin. Also I noticed the St. Louis Edition titles a letter of 7 June 1536:"An Heinrich,Herzog zu Sachsen". His brother Duke Georg is alive until 1539 and the head of Ducal Saxony. ML addresses Heinrich as E.F.G. probably as the head of Friesland. I was wondering if anyone wanted to have some fun wiith "von" and with "zu" too.

Then there are other people who are called "von und zu" simultaneously--for example the current prince of Liechtenstein.

Just noticed that the St. Louis Edition for the title of #2255 has: "An Johann Forster 'in' Augsburg". ML in the salutation has "Diener Der Kirche zu Augsburg". Looks like the St. Louis Editors were becoming Anglicized,no?
