In letter to Elector Johann Frederich of 28 Sept (Vigilia Michaelis)1535 ML writes of the Archbishop of Halle's "Briefe Vidimirung". ? Letters of inspection, examination, invistigation??? In light of ML calling the bishop a Lindwurm, could it be that they are Draconian fire-breathing letters? Thanks for your help. The letter is 2172a in Vol.xxib of the St.Louis Edition.

Looks like you answered your own question. The full name of the recepient is Kurfürst Johann Friedrich von Sachsen.
