Looks great .Exciting. Was wondering what the famous word Gestalt means when applied to the habits of nuns and monks in Herford who "all de Pabsts Greuel abgethan... wiewohl im alten Kleid und Gestalt sich halten".

You will have to give me a better idea of where this quote comes from. I don't have your encyclopedic knowledge of ML.

Dear Agnes, 24 October 1534 to the Council in Herford. Hope I'm not taking up too much time and space-delete if appropriate.

"Gestalt" is defined as "Aussehen" (appearance) in Das große Wörterbuch der deutschen Sprache. Could it mean "unfashionable" here?

Interesting. I translated it "identity" when ML was saying it was all right to keep their monastery garments and "Gestalt' like it was their former way of life. I never understood Jung's use of Gestalt so maybe one needs to be echte Deutsch.

You are such a diplomat!! Identity makes a lot more sense. I zeroed in on the clothing too much I guess.
